| Fabulous Summer Tea Party!
Did you miss today's tea party? ...plan to attend next year's: July 22, 2009.
The tea room at the club was bright and cheery as the club gathered to honor seven women who have shown unfailing dedication and committment in serving the community for decades. The honorees are: Ethel Heitz, Helen Darling, Doris Herrick, Ester Kates, Mary Lou Kristiansen, Betty Landauer and Margaret Pfister.
There were between forty-five to fifty women who attended the event that was organized by Barbara Dannenberg. Proceeds from today's event totaled $2,000. We thank the honorees for their fine example and continued help in building up other women and the club as a whole. Our community has been touched and enhanced in so many positive ways thanks to their efforts. One honoree, Ester Kates, said, "What we did yesterday is what makes us what we are today." Her words rang true as the room filled afterward with a loud throng of fellowship in a loving sisterhood that clearly has a purpose to serve.
